Is this suffix on the serial number tag or stamped after the engine serial number stamped on the block??

according to Guy Fay's tractor data book (page 22-23)

Serial number tag suffix:

1. D= 5,000 ft altitude attachment
2. G= Cotton picker tractor attachment (high drum)
3. S= TA with provision for 540 rpm Independent PTO

Engine serial number suffix:
1. D= 5,000 ft altitude attachment
2. G= N/A
3. S= N/A
