In process of overhauling engine on 1950 Farmall H tractor. Would like to know what would be the best spark plugs to use on it? Champions? AC Delco? AutoLite? Thanks !

Use an Autolite plug. I couldnt tell you the number off the top of my head, but over the past few years they have had a better reputation than Champion.

Is your overhaul stock. I have run Autolite and Champion plugs. My 1949 H likes the Champion D21 with VP113 racing fuel. I'm running stock.

For some reason, those champions have a good reputation of fouling out in the older tractors,i have better luck with autolite or ac delo.

My Dad had champion in his allis chalmers B, and they were garbage. We then put in autolite and since then they have worked fine. My grandpa put autolite in my super H years ago, and they are still plugging along.

If you don't buying long distance, check out the Green Spart Plug Company:

They have plenty of information about spark plugs and the chap is more than happy to answer questions.
