Water pump on C?

I bought what I thought was a C Farmall (because it had C decals). The engine has a water pump. I thought Only the Super C engine had a water pump. Were ther any C"s that had a water pump?

lots of people put pumps on Cs . they start to lose power after they get hot and a water pump cures that

I think I remember Hugh saying that some late C's came with water pumps.

Either way, dblair is correct. It is a simple and easy job to retrofit a Super C water pump to an A, B, or C. And it looks "factory" when it is done.

i discovered rebuilding my a that some one put a sc pump on. wich does not pump water, but like said, looks factory.

Might want to check the casting code on the engine while you are at it. There might be a chance that the whole engine was swapped with a SC, and that might be a reason for the pump being there. Never hurts to check.

A way to tell if you have thru Super C it should have disc brakes. Because it wouldn't be the first time the wrong decals were used. Just my 2 cents worth.

A water pump was optional on the C, standard on the Super C.
