H hydro oil check

Please scuse my ignorance. Wondering how to check/change hydro oil in the H we just bought. I did the engine and trans/rear today.

Also, when you fill the cup in the air cleaner assembly, do you fill the outer part, the inner, or both.
Thanks for your help.

WElcome to having an H. I think it's one of the best.
"Hydro" Oil; This is called the belly pump, or the Lift-All pump. There's a nice cast iron 2" knurled knob sitting on top of the body of the tractor, on the right side above the belly pump. Just unscrew it and pull out the dip stick. Your owner's manual will tell you more. I use 30W in mine. You fill it thru this same opening.
To change the oil, I have no idea. I'll look and see if I can tell. I usually had leaks in my equipment so changing it was automatic.
Oil Cup; There's holes in the small inside cup, to keep the levels level, so make sure the holes are clean. Then you just fill the whole thing up to the Oil Level line stamped in the body. Use the same oil. You'll see it.

My owner's manual shows a pipe plug on the bottom of the Lift-All pump. I just went out and checked, and there's a pipe p;lug there. Like I say, I have never changed mine, it has the automatic-change feature (ha-ha).
I do not know how muchoil it takes. Use the dipstick, and check it when all the pressure is off the system (all implements down.)

There is a drain plug in the bottom of the belly pump. It holds 6 quarts.

Take a good look at your air filter oil cup. You will see it is impossible to fill the inner part without filling the outer part at the same time. If you CANNOT see it, you need to thoroughly clean that oil cup.
