stuck ring in a B275 diesel

I posted last week about putting rebuilt injectors into my neighbors B275 in which the fuel system had sat open for at least 2 years. Fortunately the tractor looks like it will survive. When we first fired it up we had a lot of smoke out of the exhaust and lots of blow-by out of the valve cover breather. This cleared up after a few minutes and then it ran great. After sitting for 3 days it was back again but went away after running for a few minutes. I assume that we've got a stuck ring somewhere. What's the best bet? Change the oil and add a quart of Risolone?

Thanks

ya do that and then you must work the heck out of it for about 1/2 day. make it pull all it can so the rings are forced out into the cyls. or else the engine may be just worn out.

Like the others say give it some work. If this dose not cure it take the cylinder head off and grind the valves and seats. When you have put the head back on torque it down to 80lb/ft and set all valves to 20thou. MJ

need to do more than that. requires pulling the pistons and reringing.be pretty foolish doing the head when you know the rings are stuck.
