Draw Bar Mounts on H

Is there a correct way to position the Draw Bar Mounting Channel where they bolt onto the axle frame? It looks to me that they are reversible if flipped over to give different Height to the Draw Bar. I am asking because I am installing a Saginaw 3 point and need to know if one way is stronger or if it changes the pulling character of the hitch?

The top of the clamp is a couple? of inches above the axle housing. Do not flip it. This puts the drawbar at the correct height.

If you plan on using that 3-point hitch a lot, you're gonna hate that drawbar being on there.

It restricts the lateral movement of the swing arms and just flat won't let that hitch lower far enough for easy hitching to implements.

I'd leave that factory drawbar completely off the tractor with a Saginaw install.

It works fine for me with the drawbar on. The implement is in the ground before it strikes the drawbar. That said, I have not tried pulling a plow and never intend to. If anything it doesn't lift the implement high enough because of the long 3 point arms.

Yes you can flip them to make the complete U shaped bar higher or lower. Depending on the model the angles that go from the channel clamps to the U bar are different also. Early tractors had longer angles. Only used tractors with the channels set in the high setting with straight drawbars myself.
