spray instead of gas

with the carb off, can you spray something in the manefold besides starting fluid to make it pop? wd40 is now water base, rite? thanks.

I keep a mist bottle in the shop. I dribble some gas in it and when I want to start something I spin it over and mist gas into the carb,90% of the time it fires ,the other ten percent requires points or condensers or plugs or something other than fuel supply.

I thought Gumout brand carb cleaner is non-flammable. Anyway, yes, B-12 carb cleaner seems to combust just fine and doesn't seem as harsh as ether.

I use NAPA carb cleaner with no problems.
