IH-1000 Loader wooo hooo it works!

Guys I got it working my son was super excited about it! I have some bugs to work out and some things to finish! I have to get some actual 1-1/8" pins for the bucket I am going to try that tomorrow. The gravity down is extremly fast way to fast. is there anything I can adjust in the valve to slow it down? If I load it I am afraid of crashing it, its so fast.

Chad, You have up and down pressure! if the hose's are hooked up backwards you may have to much flow going down. That should be going up.

You can control the rate of descent by FEATHERING the control.

Don't shove it all the way ahead.

It's a one-way valve. The only way to slow the drop is to put a flow restrictor in the hose to the lift cylinder. BUT, this will also slow the lift!

Chad, you're correct about the gravity down. You don't have down pressure on the lift cylinder, only the bucket. You do have adjustment for the gravity down of the lift arm through the flow control adjusting screw besides the feathering that Matt mentions. Read item 5 on this page in Rudi's manual server and follow the instructions:

This is what I was thinking. Single action valves should have a flow control with a check in it. If not you could add a directional flow control inline to the cylinder. This would give full flow one way and metered flow the other.

Good luck,

Hi, Chad.

With respect --

This won't help with your question, but the photo of your son on the tractor made me think of it: Remember to drop the bucket to the ground whenever the tractor will be unattended (running or not). It's way too much fun to play with those levers, and way too easy to drop that bucket on a playmate.

thanks for the info I will try and rear that manual again I missed it.

Yes when we were done with the tractor we put the loader down my son was moving the levers and having it go up and down for a video of the loader. thanks for the suggestion it is always good to have reminders I would never forgive myself if he got hurt.
thanks Chad

There aren't any 1000 loaders down South. At least that I've ever seen.

So what does the white mounting frame attacth to front & Rear ?
