39' F-20 factory road gear

I have a 39 F-20 with what i believe is a factory road gear.It is not an add-on unit like a heisler or M&W, but is built right in the original trans. It will run around 10-12 mph...not as quick as an H or M, but moves right along for an F20. Has anyone ever been around one of these before?are they at all rare? I have never seen another one around this area! Most of them only have 4 "working" gears. Any info on this would be appreciated!

The high speed gearset was available after June of 34 and replaced 3rd gear in the standard transmission. Originally called a 7.07 mph gearset actual ground speed varies greatly by tire size. Desirable but not rare by any means. Can sometimes be indicated by the original gear pattern being ground off of the shifter base and the pattern stamped in or blank.

This tractor has all 4 gears, which 4th is the roadgear. It has the original shifter cover with all the gears stamped on it from factory

Sweet sounds like a factory install instead of dealer upgrade. Where is fourth gear in the shift pattern?

132 they are all raised in the cast and thats how the shift pattern is.

thats a factory deal with 4th up and to the right. standard slow speed transmissions had 4th gear between 1st and 2nd
