I have found that the sleeve to engage my crankshaft pully is seized or for some reason stuck under the radiator. What kind of job is it to dig into this issue? It appears that the front half is good and the spring is good, but the "claw" is stuck somehow. Thanks!
 
Thier all stuck-never seen one that wasnt-Ms,too.Unless it is regularly hand cranked.Never seen one of those,either.
 
Mine was frozen on both my M & H. What I did was heat the sleeve to red hot and then I cooled it with cold water, then used my favorite snake oil and started tapping the end of the shaft with a big hammer. They both started to move right away and when loose I put neverseize on them.

S 2710 has the answer. If the snout is loose the issue is easier. (but requires under the tractor action to get at the shaft). Jim
