Fixing a crack in cast? PIC

I am looking for advise on how to fix a hairline crack in the cast- just under the belt pulley delete plate on a Farmall M. Can I repair this by grinding it out and filling with JB weld, epoxy, etc? Can I get it brazed or welded? Or do I just have to replace it? I want to get the oil leak stopped. Thanks in advance!

If you grind it out and use JB Weld it will have to be oil free. Clean it good with acetone.
It can also be welded.
Put a light bulb near the repair for a day for heat while the JB Weld cures.

I would think that JB would work but you will have to remove the part and V in back to the bolt hole.

I had a crack on the lower side of the transmission housing on my H and a guy welded it for me. The guy was a good cast welder and when he got done and some paint later you couldn't hardly know where the crack was.
