IH-1000 loader

I am in the process of installing a 1000 loader on my farmall 100. Does anyone know how many gallons of hydraulic fluid it will take to fill the loader and the tractors hydraulic system? I have drained everything out on the loader and tractor.

Chad, I think the tank in the loader will only take about 2 gallons not very big. If you over fill it excess will run out of vent. oldiron29

ok I bought 2 gallons but I will need another gallong probably to top it off and fill the tractor touch control unit? I am really confused how it pulls from the tank in the loader to the sump on the touch control. and wow the person who did the hoses last time really jacked all the fitting around. where can I get the straight fittings with o-ring seal for the cylinders and the hyd valve? it seems to be 1/4 npt with a o-ring seal is this correct? Non of my local stores have them.

Chad, check Rudi's manual site on the Cub forum. There is a manual for the 1000 loader there. It should answer your questions.
