Steering wheel outer diameter

(quoted from post at 07:12:18 04/13/11) No. As I recall, the B is about 15 and the M about 18.

Jim, I think you are correct, althought it might be 16" instead of 15". I know there was an optional 4 spoke, 20" diameter wheel for the M, and, don't quote me, but maybe the 18" wheel was an option for the A, B, and C?

Thanks folks. After asking the question, the thought occurred that I could check an after market supplier. I chose to look at Steiner"s website and they list different sizes. And they state their products are exact replacements for factory parts. Anyway they list "B" wheels at 15 and "M" wheels at 17 5/8.

According to a couple IHC books I have the H had a three spoke steering wheel and the M has a four spoke one. But I think they were the same size diameter.

Don't know what books you have, but he parts books for both tractors list the same parts numbers.

They also list a 20" wheel for the M, but I don't know when that came along. The part number is 557282R91 which makes me suspect it was part of some special equipment. Maybe it had 4 spokes.
