I bought the manifold I was asking about a week or so ago. I still never heard from anyone concerning the value. Everyone seems to think these are somewhat rare. I'd still like to hear your thoughts on what it might be worth.
I'm excited about its condition. It should clean up very nice. I already went over it real fast with the wire wheel and started soaking the pipe.
With this design the exhaust pipe goes straight up past the hood. This is going to allow me to get a lenth of 1 1/4" stainless and polish that. I'm thinking about making a double wall pipe and drill out baffles in the inner pipe. It will take some time but I think it will be worth it in the end!

Nice find Seth, definitely a Heisler manifold. Value is a little tricky. The correct police turn up their noses at em cause they are not original. On the bigger F series the antique tractor pullers find them desirable for 5 to 10 more HP. On the 14 it will probably run better and have a small HP increase over a Kerosene manifold.

I would say if you paid about what a new replacement costs you did well and it will be a detail that matches well with your overdrive.

I am with 36f30. I thought they were rare as I had never seen them before. In the past three years, I have picked up four of them. Prices range from $45 to $100. They do give you quite a bump in power over the kero and gas manifold, especially when you have high altitude pistons. I was told an F-14, with 3-1/8 high altitude pistons, f-14 head, heisler manifold running 93 octane gas will get you 20 plus HP. I am hoping to find out next year!
