I have reinstalled the head and I am putting the other stuff on now. There are four copper washers that I can't seem to find a home for.
There is no parts breakdown for what is in the kit so I couldn't look it up that way.
I see there are gaskets for taking the ends off the air intake. Is it possible they belong to something in there?

Do they go on top of the valve cover? But then you would only need
3...........

Did you get my email on the WD-9?

I was wondering the same thing.they go in the tool box junk drawer.lol.Still want that 2 point hitch? soybeenjoe never got back to me.Its sitting in the back of my pick up.Let me know

Too small for spark plugs. Only about 1/2" od pretty thin.

I wondered about the nuts on the top of the valve cover, but I'm with you. Too many. BTW, how does that not leak? It looks like just luck and gravity. On the side, I lost two nuts in the R&R somehow. I spun them back on the studs when I sent it in. They must have rattled off going down the road??? Oh well.

I guess mine are going to end up in the spare parts box as well.

d282 - Just replied. Discussed it with the CFO last night.

smd - I'll email you.

I bought the official CNH valve cover bolt gaskets last year for my H. Very pricey, but they were thin copper, wrapped around some sort of fiber or asbestos. They went fiber-down.
If that's whatn you have, thet's probably where they go, and you have two spares. Lucky you.

I'll go with that. They are copper except there is a ring of white on one side. They don't seem very strong and I'm not sure they were there when I took the valve cover off.

Your a lucky man Walt. You almost got another phone call on this one.

They sound like the washers to seal the lifter cover on the
block. A good kit normally comes with the gasket and copper
sealing washers for the bolts in the lifter cover.
