doing my overhual, i took apart the geared piece that the rotor slips on, and now, with the gears in the distributer body, do thay have to be in a certan spot and how do i demess myself up? thanks.

Yes , they have to be in time. Clean the small gear to find 2 teeth with a beveled edge. Line up the C on the big gear & put together.

If you have the mag out you can turn it over till the rotor atops then the rotor should point to the tower where the wires go to the plug looking at the rotor #1 is around the 1o clock position

there is a movement to turn it on the block. it is a hand crank. where is the adjustment so it cranks and wont break your arm? thanks.
