I went to look at a Super M today and I liked what i saw. It runs a heck of a lot better then it looks. She runs like a champ. I drove her around a bit. The clutch is good. It has live hydraulics. It is a REAL Super. I am pretty happy. I'm having it hauled home tomorrow or sunday. It is missing the link on the right side from the break to the housing. If anyone knows where to get one or has one I'm interested. I am going to work on getting her cleaned up and once i get back from Arizona this summer I'm gonna paint her up and make her shine.

New tires on front and back?

What are your plans for it?

I got it for 1500. The tires on the back are almost new. The fronts are barely weather checked. It's gonna be a work tractor to assist my H and 9N with the big stuff. I do plan to wire brush it from top to bottom, maybe get a sand blasted and eventually paint it up. But till i get the time thatll be on the back burner. I've always wanted a super so i'm happy.

I've been told there are 3 types of Super M grilles. I don't know if thats true but thats what i've heard. Here is a website that shows it better.

You did good! The rear tires alone are worth nearly 2/3 what you paid for the entire tractor.

BTW it looks like your Super M is a genuine Stage II (live hydraulics with the reservoir under the gas tank and battery beneath the seat...)

Idk If it is or not. The serial is 501xx or something close to that. Idr exactly. But i was told this tractor was one that a dealership owner had. He bought it when they came out. So I'm not sure of the history but Ill take it.

My Super M is identical to yours. It was purchased new in 1953 by father in law.

It's a good old tractor!

Five digit SM serial # F-50000 or higher was made in november of 1953 or later. So yes its a late SM.

Yes it is, the wide spaced holes (if there were any) were very late in production. My Stage 2 SM doesn't have them either.
