I have been trying to find a carb repair kit fora Zenith Carb. Without the carb # no one can help me. There is no #. They show 3- carbs in the book. With the cost of repair vs cost of a new one for a puller tractor what do you folks recomend?

Order one from Denny's carb shop (937 368-2304). They require you to send yours in. Tell them that you're building a puller and they will put the performance stuff in it. Did that with my SC. Pulls like He??.

Do you know if the orginal carb? If so go to IH website and get the number off of parts list. Steiner offers decent rebuild kits. Get the adjustable jet screw and drill your main jet out 2 drill bit sizes larger than orginal hole. I did that to my Super C carb and could tell a difference.

Have you looked at that carb under a bright light? Not all of them have the number on a tag. The earlier carbs all have the model and part number stamped directly into the top of the carb, but you need to get all the dirt and crud off to see it. If that doesn't work, you can usually get the correct kit by comparing your OLD gasket to the new gasket in a kit, because each gasket is particular to a certain model of carb. My email address is open in the modern version of this forum.

I cleaned it to the pt I put it in the cabinet blaster trying to find a # and there is nothing. It has no tag. The serial# says it is a l951 123ci. I will check Dennys and Stiener. Appreciate all the comments.

You have a good carburator man right here on this forum in fact he replied to your post...rustyfarmall.

As Rusty implies just look at the gasket and compare it with the diagram in the parts book or the parts section at www.caseih.com.

(quoted from post at 06:19:13 04/10/11) How do I get to the modern version of this forum?

Up at the top of the page, just a little way down, over on the right hand side, you will see "modern view". Just click on it.
