CAn someone confirm that a 1966 Cub with 12 volt electrical system is a negative ground. Thanks

The 12 volt generator equipped Farmalls were mostly positive ground. Changing to negative ground is possible with mechanical regulators by polarizing the generator. (jump for one second between the Arm and Bat terminals on the regulator to polarize (engine OFF))
The terminals are big and little. If you look close you will see which way it was attached.
Do that first, and polarize second, then start. If the amp gauge reads backwards, it can be reversed by changing the wires to the opposite meter posts. Jim

12 volt 2 cylinder John Deere's are positive ground.

You aremnistaken there were lots of pos ground systems with alts both 6v and 12v

Are you sure, Jim. The 460 & 560 were - ground with a generator. Maybe more that I am not familiar with. Give me an E-Mail sometime, OK?
