looking at a 43m,asking price is $1700.has good tires straight tin.runs&drives good.old paint,i think the price is about $500 too high,it has no add ons live pump,9-speed,etc.the only good thing, its 10 min.from home,i wouldnt have to haul it.what do you think about the price? thanks jim

Price sounds ok to a little high-but not bad.But those assesorys add a lot to the value of the tractor.go buy a plain M,then price the accessorys....

thats not overly dear. would be good to get it for 1500.we all want them as cheap as posible.. i saw on a forum a coment somewere that a gentleman paid $1500-00 for a good SM grille.
if you purchase a rough one and have to transport it and purchase pannels ,it will all add up eventually. the worst part once a price is paid in an area , it can generaly set the base price for all the horse traders in the area ....pat

I think that if it was operated for two hours and checked out in terms of oil pressure and smoke that it is a pretty good buy. What else can you purchase for 2000 that will provide the service you will get from it. With good tires it should please both seller and buyer. Jim

If the rear tires are only just "good", then I think $1,700 is about $500 to high. On the other hand, if the tires are"excellent" with NO weather checking or cracks, and at least 75% tread, then the asking price is fair.

I agree with the others that it does sound $300 to $500 high, but the other question is how bad do you need it?

You could drive to auctions and answer adds for the next 3 months and possibly compromise on the condition to save that last $300 to $500, or a better one might turn up on Craigs list tonight, but I doubt it will be 10 minutes away.

I don't think it sounds out of line at all if the tires are decent, the tractor runs good, and the sheet metal is straight. Around here any old kind of M will bring $1500 even with poor tires.
