STILL *$^^ me off!

I think I posted this photo a couple of years ago, but saw it in the 'puter again tonight of a W9 and WD9 that were mercilessly scrapped after their owner passed away and uncaring out-of-state family members had them and a LOT of their companions of several colors SMASHED rather than consider having an auction, which, I'm sure would have attracted LOTS of collectors and more $$$$ than they got from the filthy scrappers.

These two "siblings" spent probably 50 years together only to suffer this fate. The sheet metal appeared to have been perfect before the "claw" got them.

I would have liked to have gotten the serial numbers to see just how close they were but it didn't look like the pile was stable enough to risk that.

I suppose they are long ago some worthless chinese trinkets sold at waldoworld!

I'm not even a half-blooded IH fan, but it STILL ticks me off!

BTW, here's the IH's that share the place with my Deere's and a couple of Fords. Son Drew is trying to keep the A under control.

Chances are the heirs probably paid to have the "junk" cleared off the property. Maybe paid a hefty premium to git-er-done quickly as they had a pending sale on the real estate. Bet they didn't call more than one scrapper as it would take too much time, effort, and cell phone charges to make a difference.

But that photo is a glimpse into my future estate settlement. My stuff will stack up nicely too. What can you expect from a family that only owns lawnmowers and wheelbarrows. Not even a snowblower as I refuse to plow their driveway in consideration of the grief they have heaped on me regarding my hobbies. I let them shovel.

When I am on my deathbed, I hope I have enough strength to post a "come and git it" thread here on YT. Don't really want to die with alot of assets. Just enough for the cremation.

This makes you sick to your stomach. They could have been rebuilt or parts tractors. They would have made more than what they got for scrape.

I think you are wrong about that bottom tractor. You will want to throw an R in the name judging by the fenders.

Morons...

Hi Wardner; If you have anything in the 40/60 tractor line or implements with large point fast-hitch arms, can I come and 'git it' now? You know...just in case you can't make it to the key board.

Wardner,Your not alone, My sentiments also !!!! I spent a fortune in time and money to restore My father in laws'L.A. case l.p. It turn out perfect. Got a big yawn from family and grandchildren. I have most of my growing up tractors from my dad.restored H,Smta,400,560.I love them with a passion everyone else rolls their eyes. What's the old man doing this for?? Maybe when I am too old to care for them I'll sell them to some collecter and donate the money to my faverite collecter club. We will see, in mean time I am getting ready to take four of them to Tulare antique Show next weekend. Tony

My Grandpa has 20+ restored Ford cars. Anything from As, Ts, Edsel up to 70 Cyclone. I take that back, the Model T is unrestored but the kind of car you would never touch because it is so much cooler as a "mint" original.
When he dies supposedly they will be donated to the Henry Ford museum. Not sure if it will be the one up in the UP or in Dearborn. I like old stuff and I don't think any of us will even have a chance at them.

Thanks for your generous offer to help out, Al, but my life expectancy remains favorable into the foreseeable future.

Would this tractor be too much for you to handle? It even has a fast hitch. It's the only 60 series I have.

S Flem,

You are correct, as the bottom tractor is, or rather was, a very straight looking WDR-9. I would have loved to have it.

If the time was ever to come Wardner, I've got equipment to handle hauling that'n and would love to have it!

Of course, I'm in my 40's now and may not have the energy to come get it when I'm in my 90's....in other words- hoping "that time" doesn't come anytime soon!

="Wardner;

Yup, WAYYY to much. With that front blade, my 340 nose would probably be pointing down and much as the 660 is aiming up.
