I pulled this plow out of the woods. It had been there so long the tires were rotted off of it.I cleaned and greased it put tires on it but when you pull the arm for the gear to lower the plow the arm that is attached to the wheel arm runs out of room to allow the plow to lower.I think there is a part missing some where but can't determine where.I put it on the AC forom but no one could identify it. It has AC 480-1 stamped on the tongue.

I've got one too. Mine was called a Hillside plow? Idk why but it is. I really dont know much about them but mine has the snap couple like yours on the front.

did you have it hooked to a tractor and moving in the field when trying it out? did you take the wheel off and disasemble the power lift and have a look in there? thats what we need pic's of.

Did you read the replys in the other post about this same plow? (not you Rustred, but you and I and the others all posted this stuff in the other post)

and it is a 2 BOTTOM plow and a 2 ROW planter. I must have confused you when I corrected you on the 2 bottom planter in the post with the pictures of all the stuff in the weeds.

Okay, I understand you don't know the technical terms for all the parts and pieces. So, maybe it would be a good idea to learn those before trying to ask a technical question about the plow?

"The thing in the place attached to the thing in the thing don't work," really doesn't describe your problem.

Let's start off with the basics. What you have there is a 2-bottom, trip lift, trailer plow.

The "arm" you pull to lift and lower the plow is called the trip lever.

Can you please post a picture of what you mean by "runs out of room?" Pull the trip lever and take a picture of what it's hitting.

No Ididn't read any other post. This is my first hoping some one would have an old manuel on the 2 ROW BOTTOM PLOW. That is why I stated it had AC 480-1 stamped on the tongue.

Yes I did have it hooked to a tractor but when I pulled the trip lever the wheel engaged and the plow started to lower like it should have but in the picture you see a metal bar pointing straight down ( I took it loose )was connected to the arm on the wheel it ran out of length not allowing the clutch to make it's full rotation to lock in place causing the wheel to lock up and drag.Once you take the bar loose the plow will plow as it should but I can't tell what is missing to allow the clutch to make a full rotation and pick the plow up.
