farmall implements

I am looking at a few Farmall/IHC implements and was wondering if there is a book or site that tells you what they are or where to look for ids on them. Most are hidden in the woods and seem in good shape, but I need to pull them out to get a good look at them. But before I offer prices on a few i want to make sure what I am getting. I am sure most are red but the do have a few green items.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You are not going to find any metal tag or serial numbers. The model number would have been stenciled or in later years a decal and these are most always unreadable or long gone. Your best bet will be to take lots of pictures and look for part numbers especially on parts that may be specific to that machine.

so unlike tractors, little genius, etc has no stamping on the frame. So unless you can look at photos and see some thing close there is no way to tell?

My main concern would be is it something you can use. JP tractor salvage has pics mainly of cub implements, but pictures can be a big help.

My uncle had a 3 pt 2 row cultivator with IH and a number, could never find anything about it - looking thru pics found out it was made by Dearborn.

I know they are not for cubs. I will not use them, but I know I can restore them instead of going to scrape. Like a two row IH planter with the lids on the seed box. It is on steel and for 30.00 I could not pass it up. Just like a they have a few two and three bottom plow, One or two on steel and one on rubber, Wife will hate me for collecting them but I think a few collectors might like them.
