IH 656 Tractor info request

Hey Guys,
I was wondering what you thought of the IH 656 hydro tractor. I was looking at one serial #2450126u046044
the guy wants $4000.00 for it. It looks to be in good shape. It is a diesel and I was looking for any info that you can provide on it. Thanks much in advance,

Great for making hay, doing loader work, and all creeping speed activities. They are not best at full use tillage drawbar tasks like plowing or using field cultivator, or heavy disking. They work for that, but are less efficient, and it is hard on the Hydro. Snow blowing and planting veg plots are great. There are tests for the condition of Hydro transmissions in the archives. Search for testing a Hydro Farmall trans (or similar words) Jim
 
Put it against a tree and go forward, if it slips run away, if it spins the tires or it dies then the tranny is good. I have used mine all day today.
 
One of the best tractors I have ever owned. Used it to pull potato harvester for years. Still use it for discbine (9 foot) and other haying operations when needed.
