Load Checks on 1066

I have problems with implements creeping down after raised. This happens on numerous cylinders and known good one. Called and talked to IH mechanic friend and he said IH sells what are called load checks that go inline on tractor remotes. I guess rig them to where they plug into your remotes and then your implement hoses plug into them. Parts man just called and said they are available and are 169.00 each and you need two. WOW! Is there any other place to get these that would be cheaper.

IH used a valve they called an Double Acting Check Valve. It is what the early Fast Hitch equipped tractors used to keep the hitch from drifting up or down. They list for about $750 so I'm sure you're not interested in going that way.

Here is an example of what should work for you. It could be installed on either the tractor or the implement.

New o-rings in the valves should fix it. I know my uncle did a few over the years.
