Another fake SHVTA on Craigslist....

Think thats the same one I saw under a different listing. On that listing he describes it as a one of a kind built up to be a tractor that was tested but never sold on the market.

I still think the guy is nuts.

Hey, that's my tractor! No, not really. Last time he pulled the CL ad when we called it out. Why do we have to be so mean...

It looks like a very nice restoration, mutt or not.

I would not doubt that he has $10k into the build/restoration, maybe up to $20k if he had to pay for a lot of the work to be done, but $38k asking price is just ridiculous.

At least he did noy waste the parts left over he used them to make an H/350 and it is only $10,000.

nice looking tractor, i guess it failed to redigester, when one spends huge amounts of money on a old tractor one doesnt get it back at the sale, [ unless its a certain model of that prarrie gold color tractor]its not a '65 shelby, its a H, the money is all about personal pride and achievement and how much its worth to one to have something different, we admire the work, we admire the combination of parts, [ like a 427 big block cooper mini] but umm we wont fork over 38k to own it, on the other hand, the mrs. may be raggin on him to sell it, and well, he is TRYING to sell it at 38k, at that price he gets to keep the tractor and the mrs. lowers her voice lol

LOL when the Mrs gets like that I just turn off the hearing aid....ROFL!

Knew a kid in the local area that had a mid 80's Fire Bird. He has about 10K wrapped up in that car and couldn't figure out when he tried to sell it that it didn't matter how much he paid to have it painted or to have that crate motor put in......no one was going to pay 10 K for a 4500 car.

If I had 38K to spend on a tractor that sure wouldn't be it.....maybe a much newer FWA but not that. LOL 38K would get me a nice 9 or 1086 plus some other stuff!

Its not a fake it was built with parts from other tractors there is one thats Diesel along with hi-crop,ta and so forth. Lots of tractors have been modified have you seen the H with the HARLEY engine or the B with the 345 v-8 how about the B John Deere with 327 chevy.

Fake may be a little strong, since no mention of it being original. Personally I wouldn't pay that, but its a free country and maybe someone thinks different and would.
Picture not clear enough to be sure but don't think much other than the grill for a Stage 2 SH was used. Looks like the liftall maybe from a SM, no stage 2 hydraulic lines used, gas tank from a H. No stage 2 starter or operating linkage. Can't see any oil check petcocks on the oil pan, so may have a 300 or 350 engine with a dipstick. So maybe he didn't wreck a stage 2 SH to make it. Looks like it may have the H or SH type transmission top cover on it. As said picture not clear enough to be sure about above.

1954 SHV-TA.. Yes you read that correctly, This is a 1954 Super HV-TA. In 1952 IH Farmall did experimental work and created prototypes of a tractor just like this one, only not "high clearance" but they were never produced, built, etc. All prototypes were so called destroyed. I simply cloned this tractor..Rebuilt a beauty that should have been built in the first place. Every Nut and bolt have been replaced. Castings of this tractor are "Z" Over 600 hours time and many $$ Invested!

This Tractor Truly Is Beautiful! Call For More Info. $38500

The truth is starting to come from his keyboard. Slater, before he claimed it to be a factory prototype. You know...the only one "not destroyed after testing" kind of thing.
