Just a few questions. I am looking at a steel wheell two bottom planter and what I can tell a two bottom plow. I am not worried about the price, just what to know if there is a way to find out the weight , size, etc so I know how to haul it. The photos do not show a lot but for under $100.00 I do not think i lost any thing. (sorry the plow all you can see is the top of the steel wheels )

you think 30.00 is fair since the seed hopper has the lids and they are not rusted and the frame is in good shape?

Todd,

I do not know as fact, but the pair together shouldn't weigh up to a ton..

Heck, I'd kinda be surprised if the plow weighs much more than 600-700 and the planter should be less.

I wouldn't say I recommend it or anything, but I have hauled a 2 bottom plow in the back of a pickup a time or 2.. Certain makes fit better than others though.

A small utility trailer should be plenty sufficient, but would take 2 trips..

I have a 5x8 trailer and I hauled two one bottom plows with along super a sickle bar mower in it, so i am thinking I might be ok. I am just not sure. Like guys, if they fit in it I will haul it. Sorry I could not find photos of the plow. All i know is that this family wants to clean up the farm and they have know idea of pricing. I just know that I bought both of these items along with an f-12 with a full set of Culivators for 205. They also have a few jd planters that are rough but dirt cheap.

I'd buy them all for that kind of money. If they are too junk to work (Which they probably are from sitting in "God's Shed" for too long) you can always sell them as lawn ornaments. It seems like every horse farmer and rural dweller here in SE WI loves to have an old planter or plow sitting in the yard.

I wish people in NW Ohio and southern MI wanted this stuff. There is more sitting in the woods and other areas that I cannot get too yet and don't know what shape they are in. I will try and find more out this week. I know they would rather sell them to others that can use them instead of selling them for scrape.
