W6 and 450 governor

Compare them, if they are the same it should.. Look up the parts # if the same it is a sinch, It probably won't be! Jim

(quoted from post at 17:40:38 03/28/11) Is the 450 governor arm close enough to the same as the w6 to work?

I'll go out on a limb so to speak and say the governor arm from a W450 should be the same as the W6, but the arm from a Farmall 450 is not.

I don't have either to compare, all I have are M governors. Am I mistaken or isn't the 450 arm straight like the w6?

FWIW, my W-400 and F-400 use the same governor arm despite the linkage rod from the throttle being different.

The arms have an offset away from the engine block. Otherwise they are straight, not curved. The offset, made by two opposite bends, is around 3/4".
