Started it for the first time this spring. Started right up, ran good for about 1 minute, ran rougher (slowly progressively rougher) for the next 2-3 minutes, then died. Will not restart.
Found water in the fuel filters when I checked them. Believe that it just had some condensation in the tank that went through the system (sat since Sept. when parked for the fall/winter).
Have the manual, looked up how to "vent" the system and prime the pump. My pump doesn't look at all like the on in the manual I have.
Any tips/ideas.

806s could have 1 of two pumps. the early ones, at least partway into "65, originally came with the IH made model RD pump. The later ones used the Roosamaster model DB. many early tractors were changed over to the roosamaster.

the RD pump has a valve on the underside of the fuel supply pump (back end of injection pump) that has to be opened while bleeding the filters, then closed to run. the roosamaster has both fuel filters before the supply pump, which then feeds directly to the IP. so just crack the two vent screws, close when the bubbles stop, and start "er up.

if you had water go through the IP, that is a bad thing. others can address that.

Sounds like you have dirty fuel filters. When did you change them last? I would change filters. Make sure you have at least half a tank of fuel, open bleeder on first filter till fuel comes out without air bubbles, then do the same to the second filter, then open the fuel line going into the injection pump, make sure fuel comes this far, close line. Try to start tractor, if it does not start, open the lines going to the injectors. Then chank engine until fuel comes out of the lines, tighten all the fuel lines, tractor should start.

Thanks,
Still will not start, but have fuel at the fuel line above the cylinder.
Will pick up some new diesel and filters this week and see what happens.
Anything else to check?

Check for plugged fuel return. This will mean taking the return fitting out of the top of injection pump as there is a check valve in there. If it has crap in it you will need pump repaird. Common problem is govenor plastic ring fails and breaks up into tiny pieces.
