Just got the family M in the shop. Any suggestions on operating and/or service manuals. I see some on this site but there appear to be alot of different versions. Tractor year is 1951. Thanks!

The IH8, I&T manual is a good place to start.
I think you can still get the manuals you need from Case-IH. The appearance is different, but the content is the same.

If you want authentic, licensed reproductions of the originals, go to binder books dot com.

www.external_link are the best--Operators, Parts, Service manuals (GSS5033), for general purposes. You can get the specialty manuals as needed. Digital reproductions. CaseIH sells photocopies, they are ok. The ones sold by this site are Jensales, poor copies. I&T manual is a good supplement.
