Hi Guys,
New guy here with a plow question. Been watching this forum for some time now and am totally amazed at the wealth of knowledge and comradery on this forum. Been Runnin Red for over 50 years now and just got interested in collecting about a year ago. Went to a plow day last year & got hooked.
I recently purchased a C295 plow for my Farmall C. Nice plow with good wear parts and paint. I got the brackets that mount to the tourque tube and bell housing but not the rear wheel brackets and lift arm.
Was wondering if anyone might have or know of someone that has the brackets and lift arm. This appears to be similar to the type of lift mechanism that was used for the rear set of the cultivators. Brackets bolt to the axle housings, lift arm extends to the rear and is attached to the plow by a chain. From pictures that i found on this site it appears that there is also a rod that connects the lift arm to the left touch control arm on the tractor. Would rear cultivator lift arms work?

My 295 plow came from the auction without the axle mounting brackets, so I had to make some out of the brackets for the gangs on a cultivater. Not the best for quick attach but they held up. I would still like to find a set here in NE. I don't know if the cultivater lift arms would work, but they should as there is no real weight(just the plow) to be lifted. Good luck, P.S. the other rod is to level the plow once it is in the ground and is real interesting to those "other" guys that don't think much of these plows. lol

You can go to www.external_link for a quality reprint of the plow manual. The manual will show the installation and how to set the plow. If you are not positive of the model of plow you have, give them a call. They are very helpful in insuring you get the correct manual.

Thanks guys for the info. I did find a manual on ebay for a C295A. I think it is a little different plow but looks like it mounts about the same way.
Gonna call Binderbooks monday and see what they have. Looking forward to turning some earth and turning a few heads with this little guy this summer. Kind of a rare plow, at least in this part of the country.
I have a #8 Little Genius 3 bottom and a #60 3 bottom that we played with in wheat stubble last summer behind a '51M. It sure is fun to get out there with a few friends and roll that ground over like dad used to.
