1929 Farmall Regular Purchase

I am looking to buy a 1929 Farmall Regular and would like to know how much is it worth , It is complete except don't have the lugs or tread plates on the rear wheels . , the brass carburetor is there and the fellow says it was running , Under the carb is a tube that looks like it goes to the air cleaner or radiator that is broken under the carb. What would that be. I will try to get a picture. It has the front wheels with rubber tires in good shape (tread) . Any info on this old tractor Model would be appreciated, asking $1300.00.

It has an F20 gas tank, other than that it looks complete. I can see from the picture that the air cleaner tube and radiator hose are attached to the correct places, that said, the tube you are referring to would be the exhaust pipe. On the Regular, the exhaust exits down and to the side through a large rounded 90 degree elbow.

AB, The rear wheel are off set steel ever other spoke in double this keeps the tractor narrow for row work. These wheels are not very common!
I would make sure you see it run if you are going to pay more than $500. Kirk has your answer on the exhaust. oldiron29

don't mean to argue...but im pretty sure that IS a regular gas tank and not an f-20. The gas cap for a regular was smaller, flat, and threaded in...an f-20 locks in like all the newer ones...

Looks like a hybrid gas tank to me. It has the flat bottom of a Regular tank and the "Built in" starting tank of a F-20.
The neck of the starting tank looks a little different. Perhaps it has a Late Regular tank or a Early F-20 tank.
What is the serial number of the tractor.

Great looking tractor. Go for it. It looks like the front wheels may be F&H spoked wheels. The studs on the rear end cover indicate that it may have had a power lift attachment on it, at one time. Maybe he still has it, and a cultivator, to go along.

Go for it. ALL regulars had the separate conical gas tank, the two compartment tank is an early F20 tank like Kirk said, but its a small issue for sure. nice tractor, paint color is kinda funky
