Touch Control

I posted a few days with no responses, so here is my question. I put my Super C back together again. I had been pulling it for the past 5 years and had taken the PTO out and plated (flat back) and taken the touch control/hydraulics all off. I have the left rod/plunger in the unit pushed in so far that I can't hook up the control rod. Tried pulling it out and will not move out at all. Right side works perfect when started the engine. Is there anyway like the Allen Head screws on the outside of the case that will allow the plunger to move/release?

Allen sounds like the plunger is just frozen up, I just got done putting seals in one, and if you cant get it to pull out you my have to take the back off of it to knock it loose, if you havent had one apart becareful and watch for little parts. Good luck

I was afraid of that. Was hoping for a easier way without taking it apart. I remember when I took the unit off I accidently pushed the plunger in pushing it on the shelf. Didn't think much about it then because I was lightening the tractor up.

It may or may not be stuck enough to require disassembly. If the unit had good oil in it when you took it off it should not be frozen by rust. Water in oil is a different matter. The pistons create a lot of suction and are hard to move even when just installed. If you can get a long rod or screwdriver in the hole in the end, try prying with the rod against the edge of the reservoir, or put loop of thin chain thru the hole and pry on that.
