Grading Blade Question

I've been looking for a front blade for my Farmall Super C. Today I had a guy tell me that I might be better off with a rear box blade. The tractor has a 3-point hitch. Not sure it will lift a box blade though. I need to do finish grading around a new house site and I will have 1,000 ft. of gravel driveway to maintain. I've never used a box blade. Would it be better?

For around the house the box blade will work better but for a drive way a simple back blade or even better a belly mount blade is better. About the only time a front blade works well is for pushing snow

Are you doing mostly dirt work? If so, maybe a rear blade would be better but if mostly moving snow build yourself a front blade. Very easy to do.
See Tractor photos at left and do a search for "Loren" or "Super C". The search for "Loren" will get you to picts of my Super C with a 7 1/2ft push blade. The picts show my old blade made out of a large barrel with a channel iron skid/cutting edge. It worked great for 20 years but needed replacing. I now have a pick-up snow blade attached to the plow frame.
I was out today pushing more snow as high as the hood on the tractor. Sure wish spring would get here soon!
