Need some advice, gotta H that stalls the motor when you release the clutch even when in neutral.Only way to move it is to hold the clutch in.

is the trans in 2 gears? you may think its in netural but really your in 2 gears at once. pull the shifter off and confirm you in netural, all the slots in the rails will line up when in netural position.

You are saying that the engine stalls every time the clutch is let out. And you are saying the tractor can be rolled on its wheels only with the clutch pushed down engine off or on.
If you put it in neutral, start the tractor (clutch down) and slowly release the clutch it night move in some direction. The above situation as described in your post is usually not possible.
Pulling the shifter requires removing one of two small 5/8" plugs in the side of the tower.
When one is removed the other one drives out by using a punch on the pin inside the hole. With the pin out it allows the lever to come out. Using a flashlight and a large screwdriver, align the shift rail slots in the tranny. Pushing the clutch down helps. The tip of the shifter will need to be welded up and ground back down. Thanks for the pics. Just welded mine up and can see I didn't go far enough. Never seen one that wasn't totally shot, so no idea what it should look like!

Are these dimensions the same for an M also?

That does not make sense. If the motor stalls that means it's locked up in two gears or something else behind the clutch is jambed. But if you can tow it with the clutch pedal down that would indicate something ahead of the clutch seized. I don't see how you can have both and still have an engine that runs?

I had a problem similar to this with my "H". It turned out to be water in the transmission that had frozen. Luckily it did not break anything.(Water expands 9 percent when it freezes). I put my Reddy Heater against the tranny and thawed it out, then drained the water(about 2 gallons). Be sure to post what you find out.

Probably wouldn't be water if it moves when the clutch is pushed in. Water would lock it up either way.
