Does any one know how to charge a international 1086 air conditioner or do you have to take it to a dealer?

It was originally Freon (R12) based, so it is either still conforming to that styandard, or changed to a different working fluid. Only the type of fittings will make that clear. Does it hacve fluid in it. are there electrical issues with the system, Motors clutches and temp sensors. Are there leaks/missing parts or locked up components. The truth is there are too many variables to make sense on line verbally. An expert will need to be a part of the decisions. Jim
