Super C plow C-20

I have heard a rumor that the 2-piece points are no longer available. The frames have not been changed however and you can replace the entire assembly with new up to date plows that use one piece points. My dad did that back in the late 60's simply because the wings were completely worn through.

The long and short of it is, you can't get new shares if the bottoms are original. Nobody makes new shares for that style of bottom anymore.

You can occasionally find NOS or good used shares on Ebay, but there are so many different ones from that time your chances of finding exactly two of the exact right share are not good. They also go for big $$$ when they do come up... Like ~$100 each.

Betcha you didn't pay $100 for the plow... Now you know why.

If you can find a newer parts plow with "Super Chief" bottoms on it, they will bolt right on to your plow frame. Replacement parts for these are still available and are relatively inexpensive.

Alternatively you can weld scrap metal to the ones you have and build them up. It was common to weld on pieces of leaf spring to extend the life of worn shares.
