Farmall 656 loders

Assuming that the tractor is a Farmall (rowcrop), an IH 2001, or an IH 2000 was made to fit it. I have a 2001 on my 656 currently.

Technically, those loaders weren't made SPECIFICALLY for the 656.

They actually fit many different tractors, depending on the mounting bracket kit that you bought with the loader.

If you got a bracket kit off a 656 Utility, it won't bolt on to a 656 Farmall, for example.

What's tough is finding a good loader with the correct bracket kit, within driving distance, at the right price.

Unless you can fabricate, don't buy a loader with the wrong bracket kit. CaseIH doesn't have the bracket kits anymore, and you'll be looking forever to find the bracket kit you need.

I know this is not an IH, but personally I think a GB loader is a nicer fit for a 656 row crop over an IH 2000.

We had a JD loader that would fit the M and all it's derivatives, plus the 06 and 56 series. Grandpa bought it new in the 70s for the 450 he had. Actually looked pretty sharp painted up.
