SMTA at a local farm. Parked, stuck, rusty, some parts missing. The TA handle lays on the case. A sad site, but it is for sale.

I watched one sell at a farm sale about three years ago for $3400. Was"nt in any better shape.

shoot mine was 2400 and it was rebuilt all tin was straight good 14.9 tires and solid rims power stearing lol guess that was a steal

I have four in about the same condition (better grills though) for $2500 each in eastern MA. All mine will be sold complete. Come and get em.

There is probably 40+ tractors 1960 and older. There is about 10 MMs, the one in the background is complete but stuck.

where about is this farm i would be intrested in takeing a look at some of the mm if ur willing to share emails open

No, that includes pushing/lifting them on to your trailer. While you are in New England, make room for some maple syrup, lobsters, and scenic countryside that is green. Speaking of green, how are you going to afford the gas/diesel for the round trip? That should be about $500 by itself.

I already feel the pain of those die-hard New England collectors who go to the RPRU every year.

CenTex,Time to look for a nice running 400 or 450 at that price IMO!!!!! Waaaay to rich for a SM TA, in junk condition.
Later,
John A.

Well, I could put it on the plane if we take it down to small enough pieces!

Company would probably not be too keen on oiling up the carpet though and fuel bill would be significantly more than 500 bucks! I would be home before supper though.

I would definately make room for the maple syrup. We're about out as it is now.

John, the scrap dealers have put us in a fix these days! I'm glad I saved the ones I did last year.

I'll give you a call soon and catch up!

(quoted from post at 05:51:35 03/18/11) A guy just asked if I could help sell his MTAD, about the same as this one, just not as straight!

If anybody needed me to help selling their SMDTA I don't think they would have to look for a buyer too long :) Even if it was in that shape I found a spare motor...wrong casting codes, but I could always swap the parts to make the codes right.

[quote="43warhorse; It is a sad sight, but there is something that stirs a person who likes the IH tractors and machinery, be it in there work clothes, forgotten, as this one has been and yes, even the seven-layered clear coat stuff; although for me, the later not as much.

I heard at a local watering hole Sunday past, that scrape is $305 per ton in eastern US. A local salvage yard was $220 Monday a.m.

Sad to say, but usable red iron of all kinds is gonna get so hot it will melt.

Why don't you buy it and part it out. I'll buy the hood right now if it has not been butcher for altinator.
