Air filter oil.

Doesn't matter much. Just need something that will splash around. In the south I use 30 wt. If it's real cold might use something thinner. I usually use the cheap stuff in the filter or you can use the same as in the engine.
 
The same oil you put in the engine. My 504 is diesel so I use 15W-40. I change mine about every 20-30 hours. I have been mowing and disking which are very dusty conditions. There will be a lot of dusty sludge in the bottom. I drain it, wash it out with a solvent of your choice, and refill to the line. Takes about 1 qt. These oil-filled filters are superior to paper elements today.
