Farmall Starter

I have had my starter rebuilt 2 times, 2 different
shops and it lasts approx 6 months.I am thinking maybe giving up and buy a new or rebuilt starter.
It is 12V system can anybody that has used a rebuilt recommend a source?

You need to go to a reputable starter shop---silver soldering ain't for everybody. A tune up is probably in order too
 
Tractor starts on first or second rotation.
Rebuilders have found different problems.

Depending on what model you have, a brand new starter is not all that pricey, and makes a whole lot more sense than throwing money at your old one, but first you need to determine if the problem is with the starter itself or if something else is going on.
