IH 504 remote pressure

My 504U has 1 remote that seems to work ok but I am alittle puzzled by the pressure at either port. It cuts off at 1250 psi .Alittle low I think Parts book shows a 1600psi releif valve (page 240). Is that for the remotes or some other part of the system?. Need a little more lift on one of my implements. Rest of sytsem works ok.Already have the 17 gpm filter and clean Hy-Tran. Thanks,Butch

"It cuts off at 1250 psi" Do you mean (1) that the lever returns to neutral at 1250 psi or (2) that 1250 psi is all the system will make?

If #1, it is working just as it is supposed to. The lever is supposed to unlatch from detent at about 1250 psi.

If #2, you have other problems. worn out pump, relief valve opening at too low a pressure, pump cavitating etc.

My F504 is 1650 psi. I have had to pull it out and clean a piece of trash once.

I meant 1250 psi is all the pressure it will produce,the unlatching deal is not working at this time, another issue to check on.
