Super M hydrualic reservoir unit

Im fixing an oil leak in my oil reservoir unit that mounts uder the gas tank. I have all the bolts out of the cover plate. It only comes out about one half inch than hangs up.Does the cover plate just come off by its self? or is there someting Im missing. I looked at the pics on the CASE IH web site.It looks like its just held on by the bolts. I dont want to force and break anything. Thanks.

Been many years since I took one apart, but you have to tilt it off to the side away from the operating lever to disengage the link inside and also there is a suction tube that may give you a problem tilting it , but it will come out. Putting it back on is trickier. If you have the box on the bench it is easier as steering post is in the way when on tractor and you may want to move it off to the side.

Thanks Pete, You are right. The suction tube was a little tight getting out but I got it. Shes back togather now.New O-rings installed. Ray
