Looking at a WD-9,does not fire on the diesel side..runs good on gas, radiator is full no antifreeze in oil. There is fuel pressure by injectors will not fire with ether...thanks in advance...

I noticed you posted awhile back about fuel filters. Is this a problem that started right after changing filters?

Take off the valve cover and make sure the starting valves are closing when switched to diesel. Is there any kind of smoke coming out when you switch to diesel.....a lot, or very little.

with valve cover off, you will notice a third valve with its own rocker arm. make sure the rocker arm is turning and that the valves are openning and closing. these valves drop the compression. if they are stuck open then it wont fire on diesel. since it is running on gas the valves are not stuck shut. since you are getting fuel at the injectors then there shouldnt be any problems with the linkage from the throttle lever.

bleed the first filter by gravity, the second will be bled by the lift pump, if the drive is broken, it will not bleed or run on diesel.check the butterflies on the intake and make sure the are closing.

Makes sense. You could check for pump pressure at the final filter or the injectors. You might just be able to see the needle on the injection pump gauge. Not many used ones you can though.

I think you should pass on the tractor and give me his number. I will help him scrap it...
