Tore apart the RH lift cyl, as I heard something rattling in there. There is no seal or piston on these, oil pressure acts directly on the rod. There is supposed to be a snap ring on the end of the rod to keep it from blowing apart at full extension.
Somone apparently had the end flange of the snap ring groove shear off, so they welded on a cap, and reassembled it. When the rod end passed the port, pressure forced it over against the hole, restricting the escaping oil, and preventing the loader from lowering.
I fired up the torch, and laid a nice ring of bronze around the base, leaving 4 open segments to pass oil, and it works like a charm now.
