Freeze Plugs

I need to fined 2 freeze plugs for a 1958 International 240 Utility Tractor serial number 4528 J. Thanks in advance, Larry

Larry, you have a couple of options. Freeze plugs are fairly standard, so measure the openings and go to NAPA or similar. I have been able to find all that I need there.

You can also go to the CIH dealer.

These tend NOT to be special items, but easily found at good auto parts stores..........all you need is the size.

They are also called Welch plugs. Search on Google for online purchasing. Hope I got the spelling right.

Thanks, but I tried that and the sides on the freeze plug were too deep. The freeze plug I took out was flat and the engine is casted to bottom out the plug at the point where the plug fits in the grove. I hope that makes sense.
