Service manual for lift-all ?

Anyone got the service manual for the lift-all for an H or M ?

Do they give the free length for following springs ?
#13 pn 15258 E Relief valve spring
#24 pn 15257 E Locking clip spring
#31 pn 15056 E Hold up Ball Spring

Do they give an angle between the arms on #45 15068 EB Valve cam and piston lever spring ?

Do they mention any dire warnings for putting the pump back together ?

I think that my problems with the control rod being 'out of time' are due to one of the Hold Up Ball Springs being 1/8" shorter than the other.

Thanks

Greg

MY dire warning about putting it back together is don't smash your fingers and try and figure out how to get that stupid arm in the socket. It took me and another guy at least an hour to get it right. Mine seems to kick off the hold thing pretty easy though. I hear if it is clicked back it is easier to put back together.

I don't remember seeing stuff like that in the I&T manual, but I wasn't looking either. My pump worked fine. I just took it apart a little to replace the seal.

I have never seen spring length specs on these pumps. Of course all I ever did was go up to parts dept and get new ones . Could pretty well just look at them and tell if they were weak. Most all the time the check ball springs are weak. Later pumps had a little stop under the springs also so ball could not completely depress spring and block off oil out let which usually happens with cold thick oil making a loader drop part way and stop so you had to start the drop process over again. Far as putting them back together, I always did it myself, used a vise grip on the outer operating lever, locked the internal mechanism in raise position. Just takes some practice which I guess you hope you will never get. H was worse than M because it used a flimy gasket that you had to me very careful of . Also, make sure there is a gasket under the seat of the relief valve. I never liked to see much over 900 psi on the relief valve, more like 800 or you can strip the threads on the drive coupler. Lot of guys washer that relief valve which is of course is a real pain as you have to take most everything apart again to get at it . IH did show a test fixture for checking pressure without putting it back in tractor but I never saw one. Could write a couple of books on those pumps.

I don't follow what you mean.

Are they supposed to trip out of raise easily or is mine just worn out? If you would bump the edge of the resivoir dropping the other part in it would click out every time. Made for a real PITA.

It usually takes some time with a file to get a nice square edge on mechanism along with a good spring so it hold in raise position, should take a pretty good bump to trip it. Also, have to bend many so that lever can't move so far that the trip buttom cannot come off. Trial and error.
