706 d vs 706g

I have two 706s one gas one diesel, the diesel needs an overhaul, the gas just had one.The diesel has two remotes and 3pt,the gas has fast hitch and single remote, nothing should change if i take the gas motor and front half and bolt it to the diesel back half? beside cleaning the fuel tank out .i dont see anything else?i need the tractor and that way i can work on the motor in the spare time. besides time what else would i be missing. plus money is an issue for the rebuild,i don't have big enough hay custmers . thanks steve

Get the lift arms to convert the fast hitch to 3 point, add the center link and you're set. If you need the second remote, rob it off the diesel and put it on the gas. No sense in butchering up 2 tractors to make one when both tractors are still serviceable.

If you can handle the parts it may be easier to swap just the rear frame assemblies. That would eliminate changing the electrical and fuel systems between the two tractors.
