Farmall C front cultivator mounting holes

I went to mount the C254 cultivators on my 48 C and found that the 3-
3/4"holes on each side of the front bolster are stripped and or
rounded out. When bought this tractor and it came with a skip row
middle buster. I suspect that it got a lot of use with loose bolts.

Is this a good candidate for a helicoil type repair or should I swap
out the front bolster?

go with the helicoils, I have done that on a Allis C drawbar mount years ago and they are still holding.

Fastenal just quoted me about $212.00 for the kit that comes with 5 coils + $80 for a package of 25 additional coils. I need 6.

I guess I'll just swap out the front bolster with one that doesn't need any work.

Go to a local machine shop, they will beat FA all to pieces on parts.
