I want to haul a 1256 Farmall off for scrap metal but its way to heavy for my trailer. I"m trying to split it, hoping I can haul each half. I took out 4 bolts holding the frame to the rear and took off the hood, unbolted the gas tank. Nothing is freeing up. What else do I do to get it to split? This thing has no front axle or rear wheels.
Thanks!

I tried that once. Everyone who wanted it was in Ohio and Iowa and I'm in Louisiana. Plus it has a 1456 engine

There's ten bolts holding the engine to the clutch housing. Four on each frame rail and two at the top of the clutch housing.

HOLY S#@T! don't scrap it! Man i would buy it in heart beat if i wasn't so far away. There is someone that will by it im am sure.

Well, if both ends are supported properly, it should just slide apart. I don't know what else would be holding it.

Thank you
If anyone wants it, email me. It hasnt run in years and I know nothing about the engine but theres lots of good parts
